Homebuyers planning to buy properties in the upscale condominiums of the city will now have to shell out more money as the district administration has increased the circle rates in Gurugram for the 2021-22 fiscal. The new rates will come into effect from April 8.
The circle rate at Aralias, Magnolias and DLF Camellias has been hiked by 25%, from Rs 20,000 per sq ft to Rs 25,000 per sq ft. The hike has surpassed the proposed circle rate of Rs 23,000 per sq ft. Moreover, the circle rates for builder floors in licenced colonies and HSVP sectors have also been hiked from Rs 5,500 sq ft to Rs 6,500 per sq ft.
Ramesh Singla, president of Gurugram Home Developers and Plot Holders Association, however, said, “The hike in the circle rates for builder floors in licenced colonies and HSVP sectors from Rs 5,500 per sq ft to Rs 6,500 per sq ft is going to put the buyers in a difficult situation. It means if you want to buy a builder floor of 300 sq yards in any of the licenced colonies of the city, each floor would now cost around Rs 1.16 crore. It’s Rs 98 lakh as per the old circle rates.”
